Julia was born in Anchorage, Alaska to her two incredibly loving parents, Brennan and Huệ Wilkinson. While Julia was growing up in the municipality, the family expanded rather rapidly. Her brother Quân, three years younger, is named for her maternal grandfather and her brother Abbán, five years younger, is named for her paternal great-grandfather; after the two of them came Brian, seven years younger, and Keane, ten years younger.

Although she was fairly happy in Alaska, Julia hoped to study in the lower 48 and return north as a seasoned officer. She was accepted to Georgetown University and the AROTC program hosted there. Her service brought her in contact with the opportunity to attend leadership training, which ultimately landed her an opportunity to work as a special agent for USACIDC.

Julia was assigned to the LA field office after passing special agent exam at age 26. After barely a year of service, she was introduced to the existence of the 'supernatural' forces at work in her area. While investigating a rather grotesque murder, her entire task force got into a nasty run-in with a cabal of witches, a challenge they were terribly unprepared to face. By the time VALKYRIE arrived, Julia was the sole survivor.

During the following week, Julia was subjected to a number of psych evaluations, administered both internally and by VALKYRIE. She passed all of them with flying colours and requested permission to return to the field the next week. Fascinated by her lack of responsiveness to what she had witnessed--and needing to fill the slot of a retiring Public Relations representative--Julia was quickly scooped back up by VALKYRIE, this time to work for them.

Julia currently serves as a public relations rep for her unit, ensuring that the press and other institutions don't guess the purpose of their deployments. She acts as team leader over Sgt Hannah "Hawkeye" Tang and PFC Joel "Poke" Cuervas, to much mutual chagrin.
